Downtown Pittsburgh specialty grocery celebrates one year anniversary in July of 2013.  Since opening in July of 2012 Marty’s has become a gathering place for local Pittsburgher’s who demand a variety of local organic offerings. With a cafe and coffee bar Marty’s is more then a high-end grocery store.  Across from Otto Milk Lofts in the Strip District, Marty’s Market provides fresh, full-flavor, high quality organic food from local and regional farmers.  Marty’s Market is both a destination store and a neighborhood meeting place.  Their mission is to deliver unmatched fun, flavorful, food-centric experiences and service to our customers and each other in passionate pursuit of a strong regional food system.

What Does Marty’s Offer?

Food Market: Featuring fresh produce free of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and harmful chemicals; clean, all-natural pantry staples including an extensive assortment of gluten-free products; and unique gourmet specialty foods.
Butcher & Cheese: A full-service butchery featuring locally-sourced, humanely-raised and all-natural pork, grass-fed beef, lamb, chicken, duck and game hens and an assortment of delicious cheeses, housemade charcuterie and fermented foods.

Café & Bakery: Flavorful, made-to-order dishes and comfort food including housemade pastas, stone-baked breads and handcrafted pastries from the bounty of the market’s produce, dairy and bulk foods and the butchery’s meats, charcuterie and cheese.

Coffee Bar: Offering thoughtfully-sourced direct trade, single origin coffees, locally-blended loose leaf teas and an assortment of delectable sweets.

Events: Marty’s Market hosts a growing array of cooking classes, demonstrations, tastings, community gatherings and private parties.Marty’s Market and media sponsor Pittsburgh Magazine have teamed up to promote and showcase our region’s culinary talent and strengthen the farm-to-fork movement in southwestern Pennsylvania by delighting and educating their audiences in this yearlong series which includes classes, demonstrations, and tastings hosted in Marty’s Market’s Theatre Kitchen and Cafe. The next event on July 2nd is sold out.
