Living in Downtown Pittsburgh & Downtown Pittsburgh Partnership

One of the reasons living in downtown Pittsburgh is getting national attention is the Downtown Pittsburgh Partnership.  This unique organization calls upon businesses, government, multi-talented professionals from a number of areas, foundations and, of course, residents. Working together, this group designs and implements a variety of innovative programs and initiatives with one goal in mind: Make living in Downtown Pittsburgh the best it can possibly be for residents, businesses, and our visitors. The result has been stunning. Trendy new boutiques, fabulous shopping, literally dozens of restaurants catering to every taste, theaters, galleries, and more. And if the results have been stunning, so are the accolades. In fact, Pittsburgh was recently voted, “America’s Most Livable City”!

Living in Downtown Pittsburgh

Hundreds of thousands of people make Downtown Pittsburgh part of their lives every day. They come to work. They come to play. They come to eat, shop, catch some theatre and hear great music. And more savvy people, many from the suburbs, as well as retirees, have made Downtown Pittsburgh their home. While many cities struggle to keep their downtowns viable, Downtown Pittsburgh is a shinning example of what a group of dedicated citizens can do to improve the life and vitality of the city’s heart.

Core to Downtown Pittsburgh is Market Square.  The eclectic mix of old and new, from the Oyster House, which opened in 1871, to restaurants and watering holes that have just opened their doors. You’ll also find unique attractions, from public art to quirky boutiques, plus free events, from concerts and rallies, to one of the region’s best Farmers Markets.

Looking to live in Downtown Pittsburgh? You’ll find plenty to choose from. Everything from elegant condos, to inviting lofts. Absolutely delightful! Step outside and the city is at your doorstep. And if you’re visiting Pittsburgh for pleasure or business, you’ll find a number of top-of-the-line hotels.

Pittsburgh also offers plenty of exciting opportunities to do much more than be a spectator. Miles of riverfront trails with spectacular views of the city skyline are ideal for walking, jogging, biking and rollerblading. Love the water? Rent a kayak and paddle down the sparkling Three Rivers.

All this, and more, has been made possible by the Downtown Pittsburgh Partnership. Like to learn more? Just give us a call.
